To write or not to write....

Ah Blogging,

It's funny how letting the whole world know how you feel about a certain subject has caught on. With all the social media there is, it can be overwhelming and scary.

I started this blog with the intention of sharing my love of crafting and little snippets of my life. But since my life has changed dramatically over the past three years, it's hard to just talk about Crafting only.

My crafting now only takes place when I am on break from school. I love creating and would love to start a business but that takes time and I am torn on making this passion a business and possible turn it into something I hate or resent.

Crafting has always been a release of sorts...to create something that brings joy to someone else is an incredible feeling. I have been blessed to be able to stay at home and craft and take on projects for friends and family. I enjoy the process of creating and love when something I made comes together even better than I expected (rare but has happened ;) ).

I thought about changing the title of this blog many many times. I am still wrestling with this. I may one day. How to sound with and clever is much harder than I thought.

My cousin Gina has turned me onto watching shows while scrappin or crafting and I love it. I just got done watching Grace and Frankie on Netflix. It's such an amazing show and hope it has a long life ahead. Jane Fonda reminds me of my mom and that pulls at my heart strings. My mom almost had the same hair style. If my mom were alive, it definitely would be a show we would watch together. I miss her terribly.

So... with this blabbering in mind, this blog will be a cleansing of the clutters of my mind and crafting fun I want to share.

Please feel free to share and interact if you wish or don't... up to you.

Smooches and peace!

Happy Monday!

Good Morning Fellow Scrappy people!

I have recently finished my yearly calendar. Yes, it's February and thank goodness it allowed me more time. I was sick at the beginning of the year so I am a little behind. Who am I kidding...I'm seriously behind but with school and kids and house...its bound to happen right?

Anywho...I have the first layout of the calendar

I will pop in from time to time to share my layouts. Hoping to get more crafting done. So inspired by New crafting blogs and you tubers.

Have a wonderfully scrappy day!

Happy New Year!

Hello Crafty peeps!

I am on christmas break from school and had some time to create some things. I made some christmas cards but didn't get a chance to send them out.

I wasn't really in the spirit of Christmas this year. Losing my mom this year has put a bit of a damper on things. I know she is always with me but I miss her so I made some gifts for my brothers and sisters.

I usually make a calendar every year. Last year I documented some of the highlights of 2014 on the 2015 calendar I made. My sister loved looking at all the months and said she wanted one so I made her one. I have yet to give it to her. But here are some of the layouts I made on it.

I am loving the way this turned out. I used a little bit of everything. The base of the calendar was a cinch calendat pack I picked up in bulk online at Joann.com.

  • project life cards
  • disney frozen papers
  • dcwv calendar paper stack
  • martha stewart halloween embellishments
  • simple stories-say cheese
  • White chalkboard dazzle sayings and jewels
  • various card stock
  • fiesta dcwv stack
  • cosmo cricket and AC wood veneer embellishments
Also most of the photos I used were from 2015 which is kinda great since now they are scrapbooked and she can just put them in a book. Loving this idea of killing off two birds with one stone. Now...I just gotta start working on mine.

While my niece Ana was in town, she made a page too. I am thinking of including it in my book.
I will use the fuse to create a 12x12 page since she used an 8 1/2 x 11 page with this page in it's own sleeve.

Well tonight is the last night I will have all my nieces and nephew so thanks for coming to check me out.

We hope you have a wonderful New Year filled with health, happiness and scrappy goodness!
